Open Registry Editor and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders. Check that the folder paths for "Personal" and other folders are valid.
Delete the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders and restart your computer. Windows will recreate this key with default folder locations.
Open an elevated Command Prompt and run "attrib -h -r -s c:\users\username\*" to remove hidden, read-only and system attributes from your user profile folder.
Use Disk Cleanup to delete temporary files and other unnecessary data from your user profile. This frees up space that may be needed for saving files.
As a last resort, create a new user profile and copy over files you need from the old profile. Set the default save location on the new profile.
