The JOIN command will take lines or other geometry that are made up segments and join them into a single object. This command is meant to reduce the number of objects in a drawing and you can only join objects that meet specific criteria. This command does not create groups of objects, but rather fixes broken or overlapping line segments, arcs or open polylines.
