Photon Yes, Religion No Chapter 8 Insanity by Ted Huntington. In this chapter, Insanity is the topic. Like many of the topics Huntington addresses, the issues of insanity are controversial, emotionally charged, and can be unpleasant for some people. Here Huntington travels to a psychiatric hospital to show the outside of what some have compared to a modern day gestapo station that some people enter but never exit. More surprisingly perhaps, is the fact that this psychiatric hospital, the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance California, is administered by a university. In this video, Huntington bravely exposes and reveals the secret procedures done to people in psychiatric hospitals such as this one. Did you know that people can be picked up and taken to a psychiatric hospital even if they have not broken a law? Did you know that a person taken to a psychiatric hospital never has a trial and is provided no way to prove their innocence? Did you know that people are routinely tied to hospital beds with "four point restraints" (each limb is fastened to a hospital bed) leaving them less space to move than an animal in a cage has? Did you know that nonviolent lawful people can be fastened in this way for an unlimited amount of time? Did you know that innocent lawful people are routinely injected with drugs without permission in psychiatric hospitals? Did you know that people are coerced to take experimental "meds" while being held in these hospitals? Did you know that a lawful citizen can be jailed indefinitely in a psychiatric hospital, without ever receiving a trial in violation of the principle of habeus corpus? Probably not. So you can see, that there are many secrets the owners, administrators and funders of the psychiatric system would prefer the public not to know. Beyond simply exposing the secret illegal world of psychological theory, Huntington presents answers, such as integrating all such systems into one system under one popular set of laws, and making psychiatric treatment voluntary only (can you imagine a medical treatment that should be any thing other than consensual?). Huntington states simply his belief that humans own their own body and should enjoy the right to put anything they want in or out of it, so long is nobody else is physically hurt. Enjoy watching as Huntington exposes what even 60 Minutes and Dateline do not have to courage to, or are paid not to expose, the massive, illegal, torture-filled, drug-addicted, lucrative and secretive industry of psychology and their psychiatric hospitals.
