Castle Farm Kids Animation Series - Script by Helena Smee - Gooseberry Bush
When Marcus Clarke and Helena Smee founded Hands Up Puppets, to create Puppet Characters for Television, in 1989, they had already began spec writing TV scripts and devising TV series. Marcus was lucky enough to get his first Kids TV series Hotdog commissioned by Thames TV in 1987 and Helena had began writing ideas and outline scripts for it and other programme ideas they were developing. Something she continued to do and on almost every Puppet Kids TV series HuP was involved with over the next 30 years. Subsequently she was invited to script write on a freelance basis for British Children's Animation Series. Over the last 10 years she has script written over 500 minutes of original British Children's Animation over many Series and this is one example.
