This vintage cocktail is regaining popularity these days. What is it? It's a B-52 in shots and as a cocktail. Be aware that it's heavy in carbohydrates with lots of sugar.
To my mind, it's best served after dinner. Maybe as a substitute for dessert or in front of the fire on a chilly night. For those of you in the north and north east that's starting to happen.
B52
Here's the recipe. It's beautiful if you can layer it. Add to a pretty cocktail ;
1 ounce of Kahlua. I like the salted caramel version.
Using the back of a big spoon layer 1 ounce of Bailey's Irish cream. Slowly drizzling against the side of your glass on top of the spoon to create a layer over your Kahlua.
Carefully and slowly layer 1 ounce of triple sec, or Grand Marnier or Cointreau.
For shots use 1/2 ounce each in a larger shot glass.
If you do this correctly, you'll have three beautiful layers.
As you saw from my video, it was a singular lack of success.
So I just added some ice and stirred it. Probably let an experienced Bartender do it for you. 😊
