How to Create Blank ➲ HTACCESS File
This video is going to show you how to create a blank htaccess file. To do so is very easy. This video demonstrates this process in Windows.
❶ Click the start menu button.
❷ Click notepad which opens a brand-new instance of notepad.
❸ Click file - save as.
❹In the dialog box that appears make sure you
select all files not text documents you literally
name the file as .htaccess nothing before
the period. That's critical.
When saving make sure all files (*.*) is selected
If you're creating a blank htaccess in Mac you would use the software program called textedit which is the mac version of notepad.
