I am Dr.Dhanyatha G S working as a Consultant Gynaecologist and IVF specialist in Nano Hospitals Hulimavu.
So when we talk about infertility it is the inability of a couple to conceive a child or conceive a pregnancy within one year of trying for a baby of having unprotected intercourse. But when a woman is above 35 years of age we consider this duration to be 6 months and above which if she's unable to we call it as infertility and there are two different types of infertility. One is primary and secondary infertility is someone where the couple have never conceived before whereas secondary is someone where the couple have conceived before and are trying for a second pregnancy or have had a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy priorly.
