I bought a new (secondhand) guitar for playing live... an Ibanez NDM2. This is one of Noodles from The Offspring signature models and they're amazing instruments. They're super light, have a really nice action on the neck, and overall just really simple, solidly built guitars!
I decided to swap out the stock Ibanez INF2 bridge pickup for a DiMarzio Super Distortion. This is the pickup I've been using in my guitar for playing live a number of years now.
The Dimarzio Super Distortion is a really well balanced pickup, sounds great for screaming leads and solos, but also sounds really big and chunky for those rhythm parts too.
