In this video, Greg Shields covers setting up networks for Database Availability Groups. DAGs are essential parts of an Exchange network, but it can be hard to set up and stabilize the network they need. Greg demonstrates setting one up and getting your Exchange running.

Microsoft has all but announced that Database Availability Groups are the unit of protection for Exchange email setups.

Of course, one of the most attractive parts of using a DAG is that it can be instantiated in a single site, or it can be created across multiple sites. But that versatility and power comes with a cost. Building the network that DAGs depend on can be one of the hardest parts of working with them.

Greg provided this video as an excerpt from a full video series at CBT Nuggets on the 70-341 certifying exams, and in it, he shows how to set up a network for your DAGs. Without that network, a DAG can't provide replication or map the connections necessary for connecting to the end users.
