In this video, I want to discuss whether the Bricks Icon element could do with an overhaul, especially with SVGs - or whether I'm just too dumb to use it ;-) In my experience here, sizing controls in particular are confusing and apparently also buggy with the pontential of causing issues on websites.
This video is an excerpt from a dev diary I am currently doing while building a client's website and it shows in real-time (with a few jumps) how I try to understand and properly use the Icon element.
At the beginning of the video, we briefly see how I originally set up the Services cards in this layout with their icons. I also duplicated those cards later, after initially duplicating them and forgetting to put BEM classes on them before doing so. There's a short snippet of that at the beginning of this video, as well. What then follows is the time I tried changing these icons and found that sizing values had disappeared from the Bricks UI, while remaining in the actual CSS. So I needed to delete the whole class and re-do the styling on a new one.
