Click on the checkout page and scroll down to the Checkout Form Fields section.
Adding the phone field separately -
Add the phone number field by dragging and dropping the field on your WooCommerce checkout form.
To make the phone field required, click on the phone field and toggle the required option there.
Collecting the phone field inside the billing or shipping address -
Click on the shipping address field on your checkout form. Find the phone field and hit the eye icon to make it visible.
Next, expand the field section and toggle the required option.
You can apply the same steps to make the phone number field required on your billing address.
Make sure to hit the update button when you’re done.
Test-run this option on your WooCommerce checkout page—you’ll see the phone field with the required (*) option.
