🐶 Is your picky eater driving you crazy? Well, giving in to a fussy dog can do more harm than good. If you want to get your dog eating the food you want them to eat, here's the key takeaway you need to know.
1️⃣ Don't give in to their pickiness - if your dog refuses to eat what you've given them, don't immediately replace it with something tastier. This only rewards their refusal and can lead to them training you, rather than the other way around.
2️⃣ Leave their food down for 20 minutes. If it remains uneaten, take it up. A couple of hours later, put the food down again. Repeat this process if necessary, but do not replace it with tastier food right away. A hungry dog, who is otherwise healthy, will eventually eat.
3️⃣ However, you don't want your dog to starve. If they're still not eating the food after several rounds, a couple of hours later you can then offer them something that they will eat.
