Some own songs / a new album of mine will be released soon, there will be some Enigma Sound Alikes, with its own Gregorian chants, as well as Middle Eastern Voices.
I've been debating for a long time, what to feel about Enigma?!
For a long time I thought that e.g. the vocals / chants and the drums were carefully written and produced for this song.
But it is (as with almost all Enigma Projekt songs) a chain of samples from other songs.
My conclusion?
Nevertheless Enigma's achievement is to be acknowledged.
Because "sampling" is one thing, but to do it this way, thereby creating such a new work, is almost as creative as an own composition.
However, being a sound designer, composer and producer myself, I take such things very seriously.
So I still give my greatest respect to those who really produce their music completely by themselves.
That's the beginning of every chain, so to speak.
Fun Fact!
If you listen closely to Enigma, you can always hear the beginning of the word "Keep" by the singer of Soul 2 Soul at the end of the drum loop.
A short "ke" sound, similar to a snare.
Besides, Enigma seems to be a fan of standard presets.
Because the sounds of the flute etc. can be played with the E-Mu 2 / Emulator II
It is the Shakuhachi preset.
