📖 In 6 steps:
1. Set the parking brake and turn off the engine. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
2. Using a small flat-tip screwdriver, carefully pry off the cover of the shift lock release slot near the shift lever.
3. Insert the ignition key into the shift lock release slot near the shift lever.
4. Push down the key while pressing the shift lever release button. Move the shift lever out of Park and into Neutral.
5. Remove the key from the shift lock release slot and reinstall the cover properly.
6. Restart the engine with the shift lever in Neutral. Now, you can shift to the desired gear.
