when our protagonist accompanies her roommate to a concert of a korean boy band she hates on principle alone, she did not expect to be have her life upended. we follow as her obsessions lead her in and out of strangers’ lives and all the way to seoul. plenty of interesting thoughts about parasocial relationships, religion/worship, and what it means to be an artist. the plot got lost a few times and there was a lot not to love, but it had me captivated and i would recommend giving it a try especially if you have knowledge of the kpop industry. book: y/n by esther yi #bookstagram #litfic #booklover #bookrecommendations #bookreview #literaryfiction
