I previously created a video showing the Mailchimp combine audiences tool ( • Learn how to combine Mailchimp audien... ), which is ideal if you have two simple audiences to merge. If you have a large number of audiences and subscribers, then these video instructions are for you. The instructions in this video are particularly useful if you have complicated audiences or a large number of subscribers.
The process I demonstrate in the video is as follows:
1. Backup existing audiences.
2. Select or create the master audience.
3. Create groups in the master audience
4. Export contacts from the old audience
5. Edit the exported CSV files
6. Decide on your import order
7. Import contacts
8. Archive the old audience contacts.
9. Delete the old audience
