BEEF STROGANOV or Beef Stroganoff is originally a Russian dish of sauteed pieces of beef served in a sauce of mustard and smetana. It became popular all over the world with a considerable variation from the original recipe. This is my take to this delicious recipe, Try it!
INGREDIENTS:
1 LB. beef sirloin of tenderloin (may use any lean part of beef)
16 oz mushroom(baby bella, crimini or button mushroom)
2 cups broth or substitute with 2 cups water and 1 tbsp beef powder or bouillon mix it together
1/2 cup chopped onions
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. minced garlic
2 tbsp. flour
1 cup sour cream
1-2 tbsp Dijon mustard(as you prefer)
1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
oil and butter for frying beef
*Sauce is good for a pound of pasta or 454 grams
