Qwik JS - Crash Introduction to Building a Super Fast Application | Part 1
Qwik JS is as it sounds, very quick. It loads Javascript as and when it is needed and has a lighter feel to it compared to what you might experience using React and Next JS. As a React developer, I really, really liked working with Qwik. It's not production ready yet, but that hasn't stopped me building a full on web application with it.
In this video, we explore getting started with Qwik and the fundamentals around useTask, useClientEffect, useStore, useSignal and page layouts with routers. Having seen this, if you are coming from a React background, you can get up and running immediately. It feels so familiar.
One thing I did not cover in the video was around isServer or isClient...more to come on this in future videos.
It is also worth mentioning that the Qwik team on Github have been nothing short of exceptional. They have been highly responsive and easy to get along with. From my brief exchange with them, I feel a buzz here...there is something about Qwik that is exciting.
