Making Magic in Milan: Crafting the Perfect Golden Sunset Fashion Photo!

The image shown here was taken during my Fashion Intensive workshop in Milan with fellow photographer Chris Knight.
I often team up with Chris for different workshops (including the Timeless workshop) where we love to demonstrate how we can use the same location, models, styling etc but achieve two totally different results.
The concept for this shoot was to create something that felt golden, sunny, and dramatic as if sunlight was pouring through the window at the end of the day into this beautiful location.
We didn't have a window, nor was it that special "golden hour" so we had to fake it!
I used 3 lights and CTO gels to emulate that golden hour look.
💡 Lighting (3)
1) Main light: Optical spot + Window gobo + CTO
2) Fill light: Large shoot through umbrella + 1/4 stop CTO
3) Fill (on model’s face): 5 degree grid with 1/4 stop CTO
