The actors do a great job of playing their characters, and in fact, they are so good that some fans have begun to associate the characters with the actors in real life.
This means that the fans transfer whatever feeling they have for the character to the actor in real life. This would not necessarily be such a bad thing, except, the character that we are talking about here in Nate Jacobs, and if you have seen even one episode of Euphoria, then you already know that Nate is a real piece of work that nobody likes. Not the other characters in the show, and definitely not the fans watching the show.
