Breaths of Life [Original Guitar Suite] (2022, Ian Humphreys)
This is a little collection of three pieces that I've been polishing off for about a month now. Unfortunately I'm no guitarist by ANY stretch of the imagination, so the Musescore playback is the best thing I have available :P . The pieces in order are
0:00 - 1. A Hastened Expiration
1:16 - 2. A Chilled Intake
2:54 - 3. A Sigh of relief
The first piece was originally all meant to be played as septuplets in the accompaniment, although I was later told that septuplets at this tempo would be quite difficult to manage, especially with the melody as well. To be perfectly honest, Its probably the piece I am the most shaky on; there's definitely still more room for improvement lel.
The second piece I am much more proud of, I was originally going for something game-y, something akin to like the background music of a runescape shop or something, but then I decided against that, adding the B section in with a more swing, almost improvised sound.
The third Is the one I am definitely most happy with, and was actually the one I wrote first. I've actually already uploaded it on here, but there was a few engraving things I was a tad bit iffy on, as well as some notational things that I though could've been written out better.
All in all, I'm quite pleased with it, and I have had quite the enjoyable time writing it :) .
If anybody has any criticisms or critiques, stuff that should've been done differently or stuff that could have been done to make things more playable/ comfortable, please let me know, I'm always willing to improve :)
