2023 was an extraordinary year for the Lupus Research Alliance and our clinical research affiliate Lupus Therapeutics - thanks to all of you. Hear from President and CEO Albert T. Roy about why we can be proud of what we’ve accomplished together so far, and what exciting progress lies ahead in 2024.
We are relentlessly committed to investing in the world’s best lupus research, with people with lupus at the very center. For instance:
• We announced the Lupus Accelerating Breakthroughs Consortium, the first–of-its-kind public-private partnership bringing together the FDA, researchers, the biopharmaceutical industry, other lupus stakeholders, and most importantly the patients to ensure patient their priorities are addressed in testing potential treatments.
• We launched the Lupus Landmark Study that will follow 3,500 people with lupus to collect biospecimens paired with their clinical data to inform future drug development.
• Our clinical research affiliate Lupus Therapeutics is partnering with dozens of biopharmaceutical companies to design and conduct clinical trials that can deliver new therapies.
