In today's fingerstyle guitar lesson we learn how to play "Heart of the Night" by Poco. Written by former member Paul Cotton, this solo guitar arrangement is inspired from Cotton's beautiful acoustic version. Poco, originally formed from two members of Buffalo Springfield as well as future members of the Eagles and Loggins and Messina, was innovative in the country-rock sound from southern California from the late 60's through the 70s. The song provides a great strumming lesson that is accessible for any level with it's laid back feel.
