The late 90s/early 2000s were home to excellent park builder games like RollerCoaster Tycoon and Zoo Tycoon, but nothing much came out after those. The genre seemed to be dead until 2016's Planet Coaster exploded onto the scene. Park builders are now stronger than they've ever been and there's a lot more to come.
