Grandad's Postbag 151211 FlySky CT6B transmitter
This is another Grandad's postbag episode. Spotted this FlySky transmitter cheap on eBay, probably old stock but at the price I thought it was worth having for the low level RC projects I do.
In reply to some comments there is no documentation in the box just a CD. As far as I can see you connect to a PC to program your settings and save it to a file on the PC. Then if you want different settings, you do it all again connected to the PC and save a different file. If you want to swap between settings as far as I can see you have to connect to your PC and swap files. Not very user friendly but for the sort of stuff I do I can live with that as a second transmitter to control a second boat or car when I need it like maybe the rescue boat. Here is a video on using the set-up system on the PC • Video I had a look at the software and as I suspected you make all the changes you want and save a file on you computer. At the same time it saves it on the transmitter. If you want to change anything you have to plug it back into the computer. Even simple things like reversing the directions for a channel can only be done connected to the computer. I think the 4 model thing it is talking about is that the software package allows you to choose from 4 different types of setup - plane (which is calls ACRO) and then 3 types of helicopter. One thing I do want to try is mixing the elevator and rudder channels, I haven't tried it yet but it looks like it should be able to do it. I have a small receiver with onboard servos that I want to try that with.
