I also added the in-game “Boss Theme” variant, which highlights an overall increasing fast tempo with a rising pitch that gets especially noticeable on the lead synths as we advance forward in the fight. This version, to my surprise, hasn’t been referenced anywhere on the net until now.
To attain a full rip of it, I went on to make a built-from-scratch recording of the song with the aid of Mesen’s 0.9.9 sound core & a wide set of debugging tools that allowed me to further analyze the samples and waveform data displayed RT, localize the music bits and modify the output at will.
As for the arrangement part, I followed a style that resembled the way we hear the song in game with the suspenseful tone building in at the start and rapidly throttling out of range.
