Chime bank scam update
Chime bank scam update. The bank that Chime uses, Stride bank paid $8.10 to mail me a certified letter regarding my complaint with Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the government agency that regulates banks. I haven't received anything back from Chime yet.
I go through the letter and explain how I responded to the Chime scam issue. The OCC is not a modern agency but is stuck in the age of fax and mail so complaints have to be made via fax or mail.
Don't fall for the Chime bank scam or any other sort of drivers license verification scam. The scam is not anything the user did but is the company itself and the affiliates that are committing the scam on their own customers under the guise of being under a government insured FDIC bank. Don't let the guise of legitimacy fool you! A scam is a scam and must be called out when committed.
