What if The Virus could chase in Endless Mode? | SJSM+ [Mod]
Welcome to Spook Lass' mod, SJSM+, for OG Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion! This mod is currently still in development, but will eventually be released to the public. The mod is a complete overhaul of OG Spooky's, utilizing every bit of the GameMaker engine to its fullest potential, while adding many HD Renovation features and assets as well. When finished, the mod will contain over 50 chases in Endless Mode, many of which are harder versions of already existing specimens, along with many completely new chases. Several of those new chases are being featured this month!
In this video, we have The Virus from Karamari hospital, and it has been given a completely original and unique chase mechanic. The Virus slowly spreads across rooms, forcing the player to get out before the entire room is engulfed. Infected floors can slow and damage the player depending on the infection stage. It deals 10 HP per second and slows down the player 75% when in stage 2. It has no set speed, instead having a random spread rate and chance.
If the player types the word "sans" at any point during the chase, they will unlock "Sans mode" where The Virus' spread rate is doubled. The theme that plays during this chase is "The Slaughter Continues" by Benjamin Crimson, which is from the 2019 Undertale fangame "Undertale: Last Breath".
