Galapagos Islands, the most fragile archipelago
The Galapagos Islands are an archipelago made up of more than 100 islands. They are found in the Pacific Ocean, 1000 kilometers from the continental coast of Ecuador, the country to which they belong.
Due to its historical isolation, dozens of endemic species developed there. That is, they are not found anywhere else in the world. Like giant tortoises, which can weigh 450 kilos and live for more than a century.
