Yes, my painting equation: 5S + 5T = DR. What am I talking about? 5S means five steps. 5T means five tone values. DR means dimensional realism. Because I want to stress so much these five tone values, they are, oh my language.
The first one I apply is the body tone. So, now I'm going to paint in the body shadows. Now I'm going to add cast shadow. Clay pots don't get highlights; they get lighter lights. Now, I have done four steps, four tones. Being so dull, clay pots don't get that much reflected light, but they do get some, especially from this light table and from the general overall lighting conditions bouncing back into the shadow.
