This video introduces the Helly Property for hypergraphs with plenty of visual examples. We will go over one important theorem relating the Helly Property to the transversal number for hypergraphs. The Helly Property is satisfied when every set of mutually adjacent edges has a single vertex common to all of the edges. In future videos, we will be making use of the Helly Property to continue our study of hypergraphs.
