Ahmet Zappa is the co-curator of the sprawling Zappa archive, a vault with "literally tens of thousands of recordings". In this highly engaging Zoom to his West Coast bunker, he talks about growing up in a home where "comedy was a currency"(memories rebooted by listening to old tapes), his Dad's celebrity and his time in jail, the two songs he co-wrote with him, the unique way he composed and rehearsed musicians, the release plans, the whole new audience for Zappa music and the just-out box-set soundtrack for the Alex Winter brilliant documentary.
