How to boost the quality of raster layers in QGIS (grayscale, transparency etc.)

Georeferencing rasters is one thing, but if you want to get the most from your images, this video will be very useful. How can you modify the image? You can either set grayscale map (by lightness, contrast) or enhance or decrease hue/saturation. Another option I show is transparency. You can make certain colors of the image practically invisible. You can hide the parts where there’s no data value as well. This image option will drastically enhance the way you present your materials. The best quality of the map is guaranteed.

Finally, I discuss the pyramids option. This will allow you to simplify the rendering of the image based on the scale. The drawback is that you have to save one additional file and use it instead of the original image. This can take a lot of disk space.
