We are 6 days from the Oscars and 6 days from knowing which of this year’s animated feature films will walk home with the prize. Every day this week I’m going to be posting a snippet from my interviews with the filmmakers behind this batch of nominees.
Every single one of these animated films is deserving of spotlight but I had to start with my interview with Ted. On top of making a new dear friend, this interview was one of the most personal because of the story’s messages to not only the LGBTQ+ community, but to anyone struggling with self-worth. And this film, like its main character, is a survivor and I highly recommend taking the time to watch it on Netflix.
