This song offers an interesting contrast of languages - the sacred language of the church, Latin, and the sensual French. It offers a view into the period of time De Sade lived in, when sexuality was considered an affront to God, since the Church believed it denied the soul.
De Sade took that stance to the extreme, denying anything higher than sexual pleasure as false. So basically this song contrasts the strict, spiritual world of the Church and the debauched, amoral world of de Sade.
