Instructions of using:
set the composite or transfer mode to "screen" or adjust video layer opacity to one you need and control the opacity to taste with keyframing. Also change transparency modes from 5% to 100% transparency.
If you'll need to change the color of this transition - try to add Levels, Color Balance or HSL (Hue-Saturation-Lightness) Color Adjustment filters to that video layer and play around with the filter properties.
