Hezbollah launches hundreds of missiles into northern Israel after Israeli air strikes
Hezbollah has launched hundreds of missiles and drones into northern Israel, describing it as the 'first phase' of retaliation for the July assassination of its top commander, Fuad Shukr, in Beirut.
Early on Sunday, Israel carried out what it termed 'pre-emptive' strikes on southern Lebanon. Over 100 jets struck over 40 Hezbollah launch sites, the Israeli military said. The Israeli air strikes killed at least three people, according to the Lebanese health ministry.
