Steps to Creating a Custom Background
1. Determine how wide your Windows desktop background image should be:
a) Number of monitors 1 / 2 / 3
b) Screen resolution i.e. 1600 x 900
2. Launch PowerPoint with new blank presentation
3. On the Ribbon select the Design tab Slide Size Custom Slide Size
4. Enter measurements based on monitor(s) width 96 px = 1” = 2.54cm
a) i.e. 3 monitors @ 1600px width = 4800 px approx. 48-50” wide
900 px height approx. 9-10” high
5. Click Format Background to add background image sized to complete width of slide
a) i.e. use Online Pictures to search and then stretch/adjust to fit
6. Copy/paste content such as daily reminders/schedule/affirmations etc. on top of image
7. Save PowerPoint presentation, then save slide as PNG or JPG image file to Pictures folder or any preferred folder
8. Set image as desktop background using desktop context menu
9. If required, go into Settings Personalization Background to adjust image layout Fill, Fit or Span
TIP: Create multiple slides for each day of the week/month/project etc. Enjoy!
