Two Bezel Modern Amethyst Ring: A Silversmithing Tutorial
This tutorial is about making a modern styled Amethyst ring. The stones are 16x8 mm lozenge shaped faceted Amethysts. This is probably an intermediate project. For materials, I used 18 gauge (1.02 mm) sterling round wire, 14 gauge (1.6 mm) sterling square wire, 18 gauge (1.02 mm) sterling sheet, and 1/4 inch (6.25 mm) fine silver bezel strip in 28 gauge (.33 mm). As always, I use hard silver sheet solder and a liquid flux.
