You are not married to a language. You can learn one, and then another. Sometimes you may need 5+ languages for a single project.
By knowing what problems you want to solve it’s easier to figure out what language will work best for you.
Knowing product requirements is useful to pick a language. What languages work your required API’s?
Books including “dummies” ones are great ways to jump into a subject . Make sure you buy the current edition
Online education is great, but may require spending some money
