Skul the Hero Slayer Sisters Boss Fight Guide + Tips and Walkthrough
Back for another Skul the Hero Slayer Boss Fight Guide! Today I'm going over the highly-requested Sisters Boss Fight that takes place at the end of chapter two. I believe that this is the hardest boss fight in Skul the Hero Slayer. The variety of attacks you are required to avoid coupled with the swiftness of the attacks make the sisters a pair of the deadliest enemies in Skul the Hero Slayer.
BOSS FIGHT ABILITY RUNDOWN -
For the sake of clarity: Duo Phase refers to when both sisters are active. Solo Phase refers to when the last sisters is remaining...this is the enraged/purple segment of the boss fight.
The Duo Phase is simple enough to dodge attacks during. The sisters will attack in tandem for a period before one returns to the king's side to watch the remaining sister duel Skul.
You'll want to ONLY ATTACK when there's only one sister active. If you're having trouble with this fight, focus on only attacking one sister at a time. If they're both active, just focus on dodging. The key takeaway with this strategy is that since they're fighting in tandem if you get hit by one you'll likely be hit by the other too. So focus entirely on dodging when they're both active.
When the active sister lifts her sword above her head and a bolt of lightning zaps it, run away, that's the signal that the sister is about to send out a short-range energy blast. It's harmless if you're a few yards away from the sister.
(2:58) When the pair of sisters summon six energy arrowheads (three on each side) you can simply jump as the first pair launches and as you fall the first pair will fly right over your head. Jump again as the second pair launches and they will pass right beneath you. As your jump reaches its Apex, the third pair launch and as you fall the third pair pass right over your head.
Take the pair of sisters down to near-death before you finish one off to ensure that the remaining sister launches into Rage Mode (purple energy powers) with only half health.
The Solo Phase of Skul the Hero Slayer Sisters Boss fight is the hardest part. The last sister moves fast and if you crowd her with melee attacks for too long, you woun't see her shift stances to read and dodge an incoming attack.
The enraged sister can summon three beams of purple energy that streak through the air around Skul and after a second they charge up and zap. Any time you see a stationary/floating purple line during this phase, move away from it as you half only a half second before it pops and deals damage.
When the remaining sister starts torpedoing down to the ground at Skul, just focus on dodging those and wait until that attack moveset concludes before you go on the offensive.
If you see the sister lean back and crouch a bit, she's about to charge-stab you. She will either do a long lunge across the screen or she will teleport three times to try to surprise you with a quick jab. On the third and final teleport, she engages in multiple jabs that fill up the screen with purple slashes. You can simple dodge these lines as they "pop" to avoid damage.
Just one more reason to spend that Dark Quartz wisely. =]
