Adding Videos to a New or Existing Playlist in YouTube Studio
For some reason it is unnecessarily difficult to add a video to a playlist in YouTube Studio. But here are the steps for creating a new playlist and adding videos AND how to add videos to an existing playlist.
Creating a New Playlist
1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
2. In the top right corner, click CREATE , New playlist.
3. Enter a playlist title and a description (optional).
4. Select the privacy setting for your playlist (public, unlisted, or private).
5. Click CREATE PLAYLIST.
Adding a Video to an Existing Playlist
1. Go to the Videos page in YouTube Studio.
2. Go to Playlists in the menu bar located under “Channel content.”
3. Click on the Playlist you would like to edit.
4. One the left of the screen go to “Videos” which is under the text “Your Playlist”.
5. Now, in the upper right hand corner of your screen find “Edit in YouTube”. It will be in blue text, all uppercase.
6. Find the three dots (vertically arranged). Click and choose “Add videos.”
7. You can search or you can copy the URL from the video you want to add (open another browser tab to do so).
8. Then you can find the video and add it to your playlist.
Removing a Video from a Playlist
1. Go to the Playlists page in YouTube Studio.
2. Find the playlist that contains the video you want to remove.
3. Click on the playlist title.
4. Find the video you want to remove and hover over it.
5. Click the three dots that appear next to the video.
6. Select Remove from playlist.
