Named after the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, a bird commonly found in the Central Texas Hill Country, the WL-14 Scissortail edition celebrates the "Oriole" guitars crafted in Kalamazoo from 1940 to 1942. This special version of the WL-14, featuring maple back and sides along with vintage-style X-bracing, delivers superb projection and clarity while maintaining the series' signature woody tone.
It stands out with a natural finish and unique tortoise-style binding, further distinguished by an authentic Scissortail decal on the headstock, reminiscent of the era. Each Waterloo guitar is meticulously handcrafted in Austin, Texas, ensuring premium quality and craftsmanship.
This Waterloo presents in near-new condition with virtually no player wear to speak of - a wonderful example with plenty of vintage charm and tone.
