The City of Thornton is a suburb of Denver that bought more than 20,000 acres of farmland in Weld County Colorado in the 1980s. They bought that land for the water that came with it, in hopes of someday bringing it from Weld County to Thronton. When they bought this land, they also bought hundreds of houses. They rented out many of those houses and how do they look now after government ownership?
