Tucked In: A Scary Short
This one is from the Wayback Machine, but I realized I hadn't shared it with the YouTube world. So, I hope you like it. It was a collaboration between me and Antony Bui at Launch Light Films.
Even though this is meant to be a horror film, in a weird way, this short film is really about the challenges of parenting.
Bedtime can be super stressful as a parent when your child doesn't want to go to bed. You've had a long day working/parenting, you've done the best you can, and now you just need them to get some rest (and rest yourself!). That's basically our story.
This film was heavily inspired by David F. Sandberg and Lotta Lotsen's "Lights Out." You will probably feel some similar vibes. If you aren't familiar with their work, look them up! They make amazing scary shorts.
Shot on the Sony FS-7 and edited and color graded in Final Cut Pro X.
