There are two ways to block a number on WhatsApp for Android:
*Method 1: Blocking from within a Chat*
1. Open the WhatsApp chat with the number you want to block.

3. From the menu, select "Block".
4. A confirmation popup will appear. Tap "Block" again to confirm.
*Method 2: Blocking from Settings*
1. Open WhatsApp on your Android device.
2. Tap the three vertical dots located at the top right corner of the screen to access the menu.
3. Select "Settings".
4. In the Settings menu, tap on "Privacy".
5. Scroll down and select "Blocked contacts".
6. Tap the "Add" icon located at the top right corner.
7. Search for the contact you want to block from your contact list or enter their phone number manually.
8. Select the contact and tap "Block" to confirm.
Both methods will achieve the same outcome: the number you selected will be blocked. They will not be able to send you messages or call you on WhatsApp. You will also not receive any notifications for their messages or calls.
