Heroic 3rd Assault Brigade rescue comrades from Avdiivka using troops and a tank
Heroic soldiers of Ukraine’s 3rd Assault Brigade revealed how they fought to rescue stranded comrades from the city of Avdiivka as Kyiv’s troops withdrew. First-person video shows how the brigade deployed into the remains of the city, and fought building-to-building to hold off the Russians long enough for their fellow soldiers - who spent five months defending the city - to escape. More footage shows how the 3rd Brigade also deployed a tank into Avdiivka to help the rescue, which came under heavy fire from Russian guns. Video of the battle shows bullets pinging off the hull of the tank as mortar shells explode nearby, while the crew fire back with their main cannon. Avdiivka has now fallen to Russian troops with Ukraine retreating to fresh positions nearby, as they try to stop Putin claiming the whole of the Donbas. #ukraine #russia #war
