Discovered in 1881, Colorado’s own Cave of the Winds in Colorado Springs is one of the longest continuous running tourist attractions in the state. This Colorado cave is one of the premier caves in the United States and at 7,000 feet in elevation it’s also one of the highest.

As someone who was born and raised in Colorado Springs, I’ve enjoyed visiting Cave of the Winds Mountain Park since I was a kid. And it’s still a fun and interesting activity for me to this day.
