Sculpting David Bowie in 3D - Blender Timelapse
I saw this concept a while ago and have it saved on my Twitter because I wanted to try and make it 3D. The original concept is by / subversivegirl , a lot of the pieces are in this style so if like this one then you'll like the rest of them too!
I've never been good at sculpting real people, it's one of those things that takes a long time to master because we see faces every day so if there's anything wrong then it'll look off. The main difference with my method for this one was that I just focused on using reference images and not trying to match my image from a set view until near the end. Most beginners will line up and front and side view of the person and then match them up, but it never looks right, that's why I waited until I had a decent likeness before I matched up the model to the mugshot.
