Commands:
sudo dnf install rocm-hip (Fedora)
sudo pacman -S rocm-hip-runtime (Archlinux)
sudo apt install libamdhip64-5 (Ubuntu 23.10+) *
Additional notes:
1. The Ubuntu package name will change depending on the version of HIP. When you're watching this video, there is a good chance the package name is already obsolete. Search for the package instead, and find something similar. The following should do the trick:
apt search libamdhip
Grab the one that best matches the title and description of HIP as shown above.
2. You may need to run the following to get this to work if normal installation does not work:
sudo usermod -a -G video $USER && sudo usermod -a -G render $USER
reboot
This may also help on other distros.
